Applications are invited for three JRF/SRF positions in the
“DBT Programme Support on the development of sheath blight disease resistant
transgenic rice: Resistance tests in PR-protein-expressing transgenic rice and
discovery of new RNA silencing strategies”.
The research carried out as JRF/SRF will lead to Ph.D.
Position: Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) – 3 Fellowships Period: Five years
(DBT Project period) Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA (The fellowships will be
upgraded to SRF as per the DBT norms after two years)
DBT Norms will be followed to fix the value of the
Fellowship Eligibility: M.Sc./M.Tech First Class in Biotechnology,
Microbiology, Life Sciences, Plant Sciences, Genomic Sciences, Biochemistry,
Agriculture.
CSIR/UGC/DBT or Equivalent National Eligibility Test
qualification is required. Experience in recombinant DNA methods, Culture of
microbes, Plant tissue culture is essential. Desired qualifications: Research
exposure in Gene cloning, Bioinformatics, Plant Genetic Engineering and Gene
Silencing Applications in FIVE copies (hard copies only), including Bio-data
describing all qualifications, should be sent to the address below.
